Terms of Service

Last updated: 30 August 2026

About These Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of aimec.io (the “Site”) and any AI engineering, implementation, automation, private AI, advisory or related services supplied by AIMEC (“Services”). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. Paid client work is also governed by the applicable proposal, statement of work or service agreement. If that agreement conflicts with these website Terms, the signed agreement takes priority for that engagement.

1. Website Use

You may use the Site for lawful business and informational purposes. You may not interfere with the Site, attempt unauthorized access, introduce malicious code, misuse public tools or use the Site in a manner that infringes another person’s rights.

2. AIMEC Services

AIMEC provides services that may include AI strategy and readiness work, custom applications, agents, retrieval systems, workflow automation, model integration, private or locally hosted AI, technical evaluations and implementation support. The exact scope, deliverables, responsibilities, fees and timetable for client work are defined in the relevant written agreement.

3. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for providing timely and accurate information, appropriate system access and lawful instructions. Clients must have the necessary rights and authority to provide any data, documents, credentials or other materials used in an engagement. Clients remain responsible for business decisions and for reviewing outputs before relying on them in high-impact, regulated or customer-facing processes unless a written agreement states otherwise.

4. AI Systems and Outputs

AI systems are probabilistic and may produce incomplete, inaccurate or unexpected results. Performance can change with models, data, prompts, integrations and third-party services. Unless expressly stated in a signed agreement, AIMEC does not guarantee that an AI output will be error-free or suitable for a particular legal, financial, medical, safety-critical or regulated decision.

5. Third-Party Technology

A service may use third-party models, APIs, cloud platforms, open-source software or business applications. Those components may be subject to separate licences, acceptable-use rules, availability limits and charges. The applicable architecture and third-party dependencies will be identified during the engagement where material.

6. Intellectual Property

AIMEC retains ownership of its pre-existing software, frameworks, tools, templates, know-how and general methods. Ownership or licensing of client-specific deliverables is determined by the applicable written agreement. Unless otherwise agreed, clients retain ownership of the data and materials they provide.

Site content, branding and original materials may not be reproduced or commercially exploited without permission, except for reasonable quotation or linking permitted by law.

7. Confidentiality and Data

Confidential information exchanged during client work will be handled according to the applicable agreement. Personal information is processed as described in the AIMEC Privacy Policy. Project-specific data boundaries, retention and approved providers should be recorded in the relevant implementation or service documentation.

8. Fees and Payment

Fees, taxes, payment dates, reimbursable expenses and any ongoing infrastructure or third-party costs are set out in the applicable proposal, invoice or service agreement. AIMEC may pause work or access to a paid service where an undisputed amount remains overdue, subject to the applicable agreement and law.

9. Availability and Changes

We may change, suspend or discontinue parts of the Site or public tools. Public calculators and assessments provide directional planning information and do not constitute a quotation, audit, certification or guarantee of results.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, AIMEC is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising solely from use of the public Site or free tools. Liability relating to paid Services is governed by the applicable written agreement. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Third-Party Links

The Site may link to third-party websites and services. AIMEC does not control and is not responsible for their content, security, availability or privacy practices.

12. Governing Law

These website Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any mandatory consumer or other statutory rights that apply to you remain unaffected.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated date. Changes to an existing paid engagement require the process set out in the applicable written agreement.

14. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be submitted through the AIMEC contact page.
